Angelo Ilagan plays one of the lead roles in Alimuom ng Kahapon (Shadows of Yesterday) as
Emman, a farmer’s son from the province. His family farms the land that remains
to be owned by wealthy landlords unmovable by the Comprehensive Land Reform
Program. As a student, he counts himself indigent. But poverty has given him
the strength to become a fighter. This is his strong attribute that makes him
fearless to march and rally in the streets for the education of the poor,
lobbying against tuition fee increases, and other student issues. But sometimes
one has personal issues to deal with aside from the causes of the activists,
and Emman is caught up with this life. He may be strong outside but has a very
